Next Generation Safety. That's what EMMA is all about. Safety always comes first. Not only for our employees and the employees in our shoe chain, but also for our customers. EMMA shoes are ISO 20345:2011 certified. Extensive testing is performed in our test centre every day.

We apply the SCC principle: Safety, Comfort, Circularity. 100% Extremely Safe, 100% Extremely Comfortable, 100% Extremely Circular. EMMA believes that that is the right order. After all, who wants sustainable safety shoes that aren't safe? We have also recently broadened the scope of the term 'safety'. We now opt for safe foot protection, safe working conditions and for safety for the environment, also for future generations. That is how Next Generation Safety came about.

We believe in a process of continuous learning and improvement. The circular feedback loop allows us not only to collect materials, but also to continuously collect information about our shoes. No more materials are lost, and no more expertise is lost. All the information we acquire in this way is shared with our customers, and we use it to continue improving our shoes. Innovation, improvement and renewal never stop.
CUSTOMER INVOLVEMENT
NEXT-GENERATION SAFETY IS SAFETY THAT IS ALIGNED WITH THE INDIVIDUAL WISHES AND WORKING CONDITIONS OF EVERY USER
Up to now, we have mainly come up with solutions that we think our customers will need. Now we are increasingly developing shoes together with our customers, specifically for their market and working conditions. The construction sector is a good example in this respect. This is just the beginning of customer involvement. In the future, we will increasingly be moving away from mass production to customised solutions. Via the QR code in every shoe, and the EMMA app on each individual smartphone, we communicate with users in person and collect unique information at user level. This allows us to tailor solutions at company level (for example: "all Heijmans employees have wear and tear on the right side of the sole, so we reinforced that side of the shoe") and the final vision is a unique shoe for every EMMA user. Customer involvement is done via shoe analysis and data collection as well as through co-creation: actively asking for feedback and the wishes of the user.
