What do we regard as personal data?

Are you a customer or partner of ours, or are you in contact with one of our colleagues? Then there is a good chance we will store personal data. But what do we regard as personal data? Personal data say something about you or your company. For example, your first name, last name, telephone number, place of residence or e-mail address. All information that can make a connection with you as a person.

We use personal data for various things. For example:

From whom do we collect personal data?

We collect personal data from everyone with whom one of our employees has (had) contact and that has led to a customer relationship or an interested prospect. We retain this data until the relationship is terminated. We also collect the personal data of potential new employees who apply to us during an application procedure or send an open application. We retain this data for up to one year after receipt.

We retain a number of details about you and the organisation where you work. These can be
summarised as follows:

Contact history (what has been discussed in the past by telephone, email or during appointments)

During fitting sessions at company locations, first and last name, employee number, shoe width, shoe size and shoe type


With whom do we share personal data?

In principle, we do not share your personal data with third parties. Only when there is a good reason to do so will we share your data with others. For example, in situations when fraud has been committed or in the event of legal proceedings. In these cases, we will be obliged to share the data with the police, the judiciary or a debt collection agency. There are strict rules on the sharing of personal data.Of course we fully comply with these.

We only use secure data storage systems to prevent personal data from ending up in the wrong hands. In the event that a data breach occurs, we will report this immediately to the person in question.


Signed confidentiality

All of our colleagues signed a contract when they started employment, which includes a separate section on how to handle personal data. By signing the contract, they declare that they undertake to ensure the confidentiality of sensitive information, such as the content of personal data.


How can I view my personal data?

Everyone in the EU has a 'right of access' to their personal data. In concrete terms, this means that you have the right to see which of your personal data we store in particular. We offer individuals the opportunity to view our physical and online records and exercise their 'right of correction' if these data are incorrect and need to be corrected.


Our vision regarding privacy

In our vision regarding privacy, personal data is in good hands. We handle the information we receive from you as a contact person, or your company details, with the utmost care. In this regard, security is always the watchword. In addition to the personal data in our possession, on account of your relationship with one of our employees, you yourself also have influence on the data that is in our possession. When you receive our newsletter, you can unsubscribe from it if you no longer wish to receive it. We regularly check the personal data in our possession, to ensure that they are not outdated and that we always have the correct information. This also ensures that our database is always up-to-date and secure.
