As well as being tested and certified by the Dutch and German TÜV Rheinland and British Satra, we rigorously test every one of our shoes at Emma HQ.
What do we test?
We’ve even developed our own range of ultra tough trials which subject our shoes to incredible amounts of simulated use and abuse. Only when a shoe has passed all these tests do we consider it ready to be worn.
General Strength - Soles, uppers and toe caps are pulled, stretched and pounded.
Wear and Tear - Boots and shoes are placed on machines designed to simulate daily wear and walking for hundreds of km.
Chemicals - we expose the shoes to all kinds of chemicals and corrosive substances, testing their resistance.
Laces - Rigorously stretched, rubbed and checked for flame resistance.
In summary, we go to virtually every extreme to make sure Emma footwear is extremely safe.
